  1. I can appreciate that Derek. Knippers piece here doesn’t present itself completely at first glance, which to me adds to its appeal.

    The tight interrelationship of images and shapes serves, I think, to direct the viewer to consider the trinitarian nature of the economy of salvation. Close inspection and meditation on this work reveals all three persons of the Godhead at work together: The Father’s hand directing the Son, the Son giving himself in obedience to the Father, and the Spirit enabling, even carrying, him in his self-giving.
